Steve Floethe is a freelance photographer and writer for Ocala’s Good Life Magazine. (Prior to joining Good Life Magazine he was, for eight years, contributing writer/photographer for Ocala STYLE and Lake & Sumter STYLE Magazines). 

Floethe (pronounced “flur-ta”) is also a freelance videographer/reporter (stringer) for WFTV Channel 9 and WESH-TV Channel 2 in Orlando.  Floethe was awarded the Florida Magazine Association’s 2005 Charlie  Award for  “Best Photo Essay.” This was for his photo coverage of  the Dade Battlefield re-enactment of  the bloody conflict that started the Second Seminole War in 1835.

Floethe is a graduate of the University of Miami. He has had a varied career in broadcast and cable news, as a TV news anchor and news director, as a newspaper reporter/photographer, public relations specialist and owner-operator of a successful voice-imaging recording studio.
